The Science behind mulching
Mulch lawn clippings and leaves for better lawns. Mulching returns valuable nutrients and organic matter to soils and can even help prevent weeds.
Mow at same cutting height
It’s best to use the same cutting height week-to-week to optimize plant root growth. However, never take more than 1/3 off of the grass blade at one time, even if it means mowing more often.

Grass mulch can help keep your lawn healthy and looking its best. And it’s never been easier to do. Check it out.
Adjust your mower deck wheels
Mower deck gauge wheels should be properly adjusted to prevent scalping grass on uneven terrain. The bottom of the wheels should sit approximately 1/8-1/2 of an inch from the ground, depending on your cutting height.
Level up
Make sure your mower deck is level from side-to-side and up-and-down for a precise, even cut throughout your lawn.
Check your lawn mower tire pressure
Check tire pressure and make sure it’s the same correct operating pressure on both sides of the riding lawn equipment for a uniform, level cut. Uneven tire pressure from side-to-side can create an uneven cut.
